Ranchi: Former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren was sent to five-day Enforcement Directorate custody by a special PMLA court here on Friday in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land fraud, lawyers said.
Soren was arrested on Wednesday night after seven hours of questioning by the ED in a money laundering case. Even before that he resigned from the post of Chief Minister. The special PMLA court on Thursday had sent the JMM leader to one-day judicial custody.
