Tamil Nadu : AIADMK candidate and Makkal Nidhi Mayyam leader Kamal Haasan will file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections on Thursday.
In the election to be held for 6 vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu, DMK is likely to get 4 and AIADMK 2 members. On behalf of AIADMK, the party’s State Attorney Division Secretary I.S. Inpadurai and Chengalpattu East District Assembly Speaker M. Dhanapal have been declared as candidates.
On Wednesday, 10-10 AIADMK MLAs signed their nomination papers at the party office in the presence of party general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami. They will file their nomination papers at the Assembly office in the Secretariat in the presence of Edappadi Palaniswami at 12.45 pm on Friday.
Kamal Haasan’s nomination: Kamal Haasan will file his nomination at 12 noon on Friday for the Rajya Sabha seat allotted to Manima in the DMK alliance. It is being told that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and other alliance party leaders will also participate in it.
