Rajasthan Police’s big action on drug smugglers, seized hemp worth 1.82 crores

Jaipur (IANS) | Taking major action against drug smuggling, the Rajasthan Police has arrested five smugglers. 182 kg of high quality ganja smuggled from Odisha was recovered from their possession. The CID Crime Branch of Rajasthan Police seized the drugs while executing this action. The value of the seized hemp in the international market is said to be Rs 1.82 crore.

According to ADGP Crime Dinesh MN, the team of Jaipur’s CID Crime Branch is continuously taking action against drug peddlers. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the team succeeded in arresting five smugglers along with seizing 182 kg of ganja smuggled from Odisha in Gangapur police station area of Bhilwara district. During this, the police also seized two vehicles.

The police officer said that the action was taken on the basis of the intelligence input of Bhilwara head constable Shankar Dayal Sharma along with attached constables Gopal Lal and Vijay Singh. The operation was carried out under the supervision of ASP Narottam Verma and Police Inspector Ramsingh Nathawat. In this, the police team of CID CB and Gangapur police station also played an active role.
