Raipur raipur news. Police has disclosed the theft that took place in New Rajendra Nagar. Naresh Nanwani lodged a report in New Rajendra Nagar police station that he lives in Basant Vihar Colony located in Mahavir Colony under New Rajendra Nagar police station area. The applicant had gone to Jabalpur with his family on 31.05.2024 for a wedding ceremony in his relatives’ house, that after the wedding ceremony was over, on 03.06.2024, when he returned home, he saw that the lock of the main door of the house was broken. When he went inside, the door of the bedroom was also broken and the gold and silver jewellery, mobile phone, camera and some other items kept in the locker of the cupboard were missing. Some unknown thief broke the lock of the applicant’s empty house and entered inside and stole the said goods. On which a crime number 255/24 section 457, 380 IPC was registered against the unknown accused in New Rajendra Nagar police station. chhattisgarh news On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and New Rajendra Nagar Police Station inspected the crime scene thoroughly and started searching for the unknown accused by questioning the applicant and the people around him in detail. The team members observed the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene and around it and deployed informers in the case. Efforts were being made to identify the unknown accused by collecting information about the criminals recently released from jail in theft cases and old accused of theft on the basis of modus operandi. During this time, the team members received important information about Basant Kumar Dhruv alias Basanta, a resident of Telibandha Raipur, who was involved in the incident and has also been imprisoned in a theft case in the past, on which Basant Kumar Dhruv alias Basanta was traced and caught by the team members. On strict interrogation based on the evidence obtained, it was revealed that accused Basant Kumar Dhruv alias Basanta had committed the above theft along with his 02 other companions. On which the team members also caught Suraj Joshi alias Pingdi involved in the incident and 01 boy in conflict with the law.
The accused/boy in conflict with the law were arrested and stolen gold jewellery weighing about 18 tolas, silver jewellery weighing about 14 tolas, 02 cameras, 01 mobile, PS-2 game and 01 Aviator vehicle used in the incident number CG/04/DY/1148 worth about Rs. 13,00,000/- were seized from their possession and action was taken against the accused/boy in conflict with the law. Accused Suraj Joshi alias Pingdi, Basant Kumar Dhruv alias Basanta and the child in conflict with the law have previously been imprisoned in cases of theft from Telibandha and Tikrapara.
