Raipur: The police inspector who entered the city’s girls hostel in a drunken state and molested the warden and the girls has also been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 8,000. Traffic Police Inspector Rakesh Kumar Choubey was arrested in March 2023 on charges of entering the girls’ hostel in Devendra Nagar and abusing the girl students and the warden and doing obscene acts. Atrocity Special Judge Pankaj Kumar Sinha pronounced the verdict. The drunk inspector had molested the warden and the girls in the girls’ hostel located in Devendra Nagar of the capital. The court has given a severe punishment in this case.

Atrocity Special Judge Pankaj Kumar Sinha has fined Inspector Rakesh Kumar Choubey Rs 8,000 and sent him to jail for two years. Let us tell you, this case is of 24 March 2023, according to the FIR, the then traffic TI Rakesh Kumar Choubey, in an inebriated state, molested the operator and the girls in a girls’ hostel in Devendra Nagar Sector-3. It was told in the complaint that the inspector also tried to force himself on the warden and beat him up when the warden stopped him. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the hostel. Its footage went viral on social media. After the video surfaced, the inspector was arrested and now the court has sent the accused inspector to jail in this case.
