Raipur. The legal destruction of the narcotic substance seized from several police stations was done as per the provisions contained in the NDPS Act. In the above destruction process, in compliance with the orders of the Central Government, Ministry of Home Affairs, Narcotics Control Bureau, the District Level Drug Disposal Committee constituted by the Police Headquarters, District Raipur, was conducted in the presence of Chairman Dr. Lal Umed Singh, (IPS) Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police, District Raipur, Member Kirtan Rathore, Additional Superintendent of Police, Rural District Raipur, Member Ramkrishna Mishra, Deputy Commissioner Excise District Raipur.
In a total of 133 cases of narcotic substance ganja seized in the NDPS Act in District Raipur, a total of 996.697 kg ganja was destroyed by burning it in the furnace of Mahindra Sponge and Power Ltd. Company Silatra Police Station Dharsiwa District Raipur after permission from the Environment Department, keeping in mind the safety of the general public.
