Rain is likely in the Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts over the next three days.

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of rainfall in the Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts from Saturday (March 14) to Monday (March 16).

A press release issued by the Centre on Friday regarding this matter reads as follows:

A low-pressure area persists over Lakshadweep and the adjoining Comorin Sea. Additionally, due to a low-pressure area formed over the Gulf of Mannar and its adjacent regions, light rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in the Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts from Saturday (March 14) to Monday (March 16). The rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are likely to experience dry weather conditions.

On March 17, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in South Tamil Nadu, as well as in North and Interior Tamil Nadu. On March 18, moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places across the regions of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. On Saturday, the skies over the Chennai and Puducherry regions are expected to remain partly cloudy.

Temperature: A slight rise in maximum temperatures may be observed across the regions of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal until March 17.
