Bangalore. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi have reached Karnataka. Actually Congress is going to form the government in Karnataka today. Siddaramaiah will take oath as Chief Minister and DK Shivakumar as Deputy CM. Apart from this, many MLAs will also be administered the oath of cabinet minister. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 12:30 pm at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. The results of the Karnataka Assembly elections were revealed on 13 May. Congress has won 135 seats, BJP 66 seats and JDS 19 seats. The deadlock between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar over the claim for the post of CM in the Congress continued for several days. However, after several days of meeting and persuasion by the high command, a consensus could be reached between the two leaders.

Sonia Gandhi will not attend the swearing-in ceremony. According to the source, this information has come to the fore. The same CPM Politburo leader Prakash Karat attacked the Congress for not inviting several chief ministers to the swearing-in ceremony. He said that the Congress party is not taking such a stand, so that the parties of different states can be united. They have not invited the Chief Ministers of Kerala and Telangana because the Congress is going to contest elections considering them as their enemies.
