Siddipet: District principal judge Sudarshan said on Wednesday that resolving court cases through mutual settlement helps save both time and money. Speaking to the media at the Siddipet Court Complex, he announced that a special Lok Adalat will be conducted on July 18 to resolve cheque bounce cases.
He appealed to litigants to make use of this opportunity. He said there are 1,324 cheque bounce cases pending across the district, of which 519 cases have been identified as suitable for settlement through mutual agreement.
Notices have already been issued to all the concerned parties. The SLA is being organised following the directions of the Supreme Court, to facilitate resolution of cheque bounce disputes involving private finance companies, banks and chit fund organisations. The judge urged all litigants to take advantage of the SLA to settle their disputes amicably.
