Delhi: The Indo-Asian badminton player PV Sindhu has made history by becoming the first Indian shuttler to have won 500 career matches ever in the BWF world tour. It became a milestone when Sindhu defeated Minama Kawashima of Japan on Thursday by securing a straight-games victory (21-19, 21-18) in the Round of 16 at the Indonesia Masters 2026 and secured herself a ticket to the quarterfinals.
Sindhu is the only Indian who has won more than 500 matches on the international circuit, male or female, and this fact demonstrates her stability, continuity, and high performance level during the years of best competition at the highest level.
