He landed at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 7 am on Friday and was taken into custody by Batala police. “After relentless efforts by Punjab Police in collaboration with central agencies, Amritpal Singh has been successfully extradited from Austria to India to face charges in several serious criminal cases,” Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said in a post on Twitter. Amritpal is a proclaimed offender living illegally in Austria.
