Punjab: Police claimed to have busted a drug smuggling gang by arresting two members. The suspects have been identified as Nitin Gogna, a resident of Mohalla Charanjitpura and Harpreet Kashyap, a resident of Krishna Nagar. Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that on receiving information, a police patrol team stopped two persons on a scooter. During investigation, police recovered 3200 narcotic pills from them. The police commissioner said that both the youths have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them under section 22-61-85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Division Number 2 police station in Jalandhar. The police officer said that further investigation is being done in the matter to trace the source of the drugs.
