Punjab: Tempo driver injured in collision with tractor-trolley

Punjab: Driver seriously injured after a tempo collided with a tractor-trailer on Abohar-Sadulshahar Road. Eyewitnesses said that the wings of the tempo with Rajasthan number flew off. The driver got stuck in it and was badly injured. He was pulled out by breaking the glass of the vehicle and later taken to Abohar Civil Hospital for treatment. From there, he was referred to Faridkot after giving first aid. The victim Anmol alias Kaka (35), resident of Sadulshahar, was coming to Abohar carrying goods like slit grills, pipes etc. When he reached near Ramsara drain, the tempo went out of control and collided with the tractor-trailer moving ahead of it. The collision was so severe that the auto was shattered. Passersby reported the accident on the helpline (112), after which a team of Road Safety Force reached the spot. Anmol was pulled out by breaking the glass of the auto and taken to Abohar Emergency Service Ambulance. Tractor-trailer driver Bhoop Ram was also coming to Abohar. Police said that investigation into the matter has been started.
