Punjab: Six people arrested on charges of immoral trafficking
Punjab: Here, the team of Mahila Thana raided a hotel situated on Sri Ganganagar-Hanumangarh Road last night and arrested six people including the hotel operator on charges of immoral trade. A case was registered under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act at around 12 in the night. Today the court ordered to send all of them to judicial custody. Among the arrested people, two women are from Mani Majra Sector 13 of Chandigarh, while one is from Delhi. According to the information, Assistant Superintendent of Police (City) B Aditya raided a hotel with the police team on the basis of information.
The police said that along with hotel operator Saurabh Monga resident Padampur, Meena of Malka Ganj in North Delhi, Gurman Singh of Chak 49 RB village, Gungun and Rubina of Mani Majra and Shivraj Patel of Sri Ganganagar have been arrested. Two of these people were found in an objectionable condition in a room on the first floor of the hotel, while the remaining four suspects including the hotel operator were found sitting in the cabin below. During the search, the police also found 22 packets of condoms and cash worth about Rs 24,000. Preliminary investigation revealed that the hotel operator had allegedly called girls from other cities through WhatsApp group for such work.
