Punjab: Police arrested the driver of a pickup from which 360 kg of poppy husk was recovered in Hanumangarh today. SP Arshad Ali said that Sub Inspector Sushil Kumar has arrested a suspect Jagdish Bishnoi of Phalodi district. Poppy husk was recovered from the pickup. The pickup did not have a number plate. A case has been registered. In another case, a team led by Sub Inspector Mohar Singh arrested Amir Khan (25), a resident of Khunja Hanumangarh with 40 grams of heroin. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act. The SP said that in the last one month, 26 cases have been registered under the NDPS Act in the district and 34 suspects have been arrested.
