Punjab: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police in Sriganganagar arrested a youth with 12,500 narcotic pills. Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav said that based on an information, the teams arrested Narsi Ram of Bajju village near the Locust Control Team office on National Highway 62 with 12,500 narcotic pills. The SP said Ram had purchased the consignment from a man in Nagaur.
In a separate operation, another police team arrested Surinder Pal Singh from Chhapianwali and Shiv Prakash from Panniwala of Sadhuwali village. Police said 2,000 pregabalin capsules were seized from their possession. During interrogation, both the suspects told that a youth from Abohar had given them the bag of capsules. Police said they have registered a case against Singh and Prakash and efforts are on to trace the person who supplied the drugs.
