Punjab: Miscreants looted Rs 1.30 lakh from petrol pump employees

Punjab: Robbers attacked a petrol pump near Gumjal village in Abohar on Monday night. Bike-borne miscreants assaulted the employees and looted Rs 1.30 lakh at gunpoint. According to information, Ram Kumar, a resident of Gidderanwali and Anil Kumar Sokhal, a resident of Tutwala village, were on duty at the petrol pump. While they were sleeping, three-four masked youths vandalised the office.
When the two employees tried to resist, the miscreants assaulted them and fled after looting a bag containing Rs 1.30 lakh. Khuiyan Sarwar SHO Ranjeet Singh said that the robbers not only assaulted the employees but also looted the DVR. He said that they will check the CCTV cameras installed in nearby establishments and will catch the miscreants soon. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukhwinder Singh Brar said that a case has been registered against unidentified persons and investigation has been started.
