Punjab: Former Union minister and BJP leader Vijay Sampla on Sunday said that all those who sympathise with Jagjit Singh Dallewal should ensure that the farmer leader ends his hunger strike. Sampla made this statement during the “Modi Dedicated to Ambedkar” programme in Jalandhar. “Everyone knows that their main demand is a legal guarantee on MSP. The Centre not only provided MSP on paddy but also sent Rs 41,000 crore for the purchase of the crop. However, the farmers had to suffer in the mandis and sell their produce at low rates. Thus, it is the state government which has bad intentions.” Speaking on Dallewal, BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh prayed for his good health. Chugh elaborated on several welfare schemes of the Centre, but he did not say anything more on Dallewal. Speaking on the reform of the organisational structure of the BJP, Sampla said, “The party will soon restructure its entire structure across the country. From booth in-charge to national president, everyone will be re-elected soon.
