Punjab: Industrialists said that the protests are adversely affecting them

Punjab: Industrialists of the city held a meeting with DGP Gaurav Yadav on the issue of continuous protests by farmers. They said that these protests have created problems for them. Prominent industrialist Mridula Jain said, “The farmers’ protest has now become political. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana, urging them to find an amicable solution to the ongoing crisis at the Shambhu border, where farmers have been protesting for a long time. Road blockade within the state is a serious matter. The police need to stop such things.”

She said that the recent protests by farmers have disrupted the movement of vehicles between Jalandhar and Ludhiana. One of her customers from France got stuck on the road and faced a lot of trouble. She said, “Whenever customers coming from other states or countries face trouble on the roads of Punjab, they take away a negative image of our state, which is very dangerous.” The DGP reportedly said, “We are working in this direction and will find a solution very soon.”
