Punjab: Members of several farmer unions affiliated to SKM (non-political), protesting at Shambhu and Khanauri borders, blocked highways for four hours today against slow procurement. Farmers blocked the Amritsar-Delhi highway, Sangrur-Bathinda road at Badrukhan village in Sangrur and Moga-Ferozepur highway at Dagru village. Taking a dig at Captain Amarinder Singh, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that since the former CM was part of the BJP government, he should initiate talks with the Centre to resolve the matter.
