Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday promised full cooperation to Modern Automotives for their plan to expand their project in the state to manufacture key parts for automotive giant BMW. A delegation of Modern Automotives Ltd met the CM today, which included Aditya Goel, Suhail Goel and Manish Bagga. During the meeting, he was informed that they have become the first Indian company to get approval for the delivery of differential pinion shafts to German luxury automaker BMW AG Munich. He said the order has been confirmed for 2.5 million units worth Rs 150 crore. He said the project will be executed in the same complex by adding additional lines, ensuring more revenue, employment and investment. Assuring the company of full support and cooperation for their future endeavours, Mann accepted the delegation’s invitation to lay the foundation stone of the plant next month.
