Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday condoled the sad and untimely demise of Madhumita, wife of Kunwar MP Vijay Pratap. Madhumita died after a short illness. She is 53 years old and is survived by her husband and two daughters. In his condolence message, the Prime Minister said that he was deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Madhumita ji, who was a pillar of strength for his family and a source of inspiration for his wife’s success. He said: This is a great loss for the entire society and especially for families.
Bhagwant Singh Mann said Madhumita ji was a pious soul who rendered exemplary services to humanity as a police officer and her husband MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap, who is now an MP, said. The Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and may God grant their family, relatives and friends the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may the soul of the deceased rest in peace.
