Punjab: Agricultural fields inundated after breach in sub-canal
Fazilka: There are reports of a crack in the Muliya Wali Minor in Fazilka district. Farmers said that several acres of fields have been submerged due to a 20-foot wide crack in the minor. Farmers said that cracks have appeared several times before, but no lessons were learnt from those incidents.
Training in life saving skills
Ropar: The Association of Surgeons of India, which is celebrating National Surgeons’ Week, gave training to people here on how to give Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). One such session was organised at the district administrative complex in collaboration with Rotary Club Rupnagar and Government Nursing and Paramedical Services Institute at Civil Hospital Ropar. A blood donation camp was also organised by the Association of Surgeons, Punjab Chapter at Parmar Hospital on Saturday.
