Punjab: 55 Tehsildars, 166 Naib Tehsildars transferred

Punjab: The state government on Monday transferred 55 tehsildars and 166 naib tehsildars. 58 tehsildars and 177 naib tehsildars were transferred after they went on strike in March. Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He said harassment of people in government offices will not be tolerated. Mundian said complaints are being received in offices attached to the revenue department. Meanwhile, the state government also gave additional charge to three IAS officers and transferred nine PCS officers.
