Punjab: 40 officers deployed to oversee preparations for guests

Punjab: The Punjab government has deployed three IAS officers and 37 revenue officers (Naib Tehsildars) as protocol-cum-liaison officers to coordinate arrangements for 40 prominent saints and spiritual leaders who have been declared state guests during the state-level event to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The IAS officers — Bikramjit Singh Shergill, Gulpreet Singh, and Jaswinder Singh — have been deployed as protocol-cum-liaison officers with Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal, Beas Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, and Satguru Uday Singh Namdhari, respectively. According to an official order issued by the Department of General Administration (Protocol Branch), these officers have been assigned protocol duty for the three-day celebrations to be held at Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25. Each officer will act as a dedicated liaison to look after the hospitality, logistics and all administrative needs of the state’s guests.
