Punjab: Bikaner Excise Department team, Khuiyan Sarwar Police and Hindumalkot Police took joint action and seized lahan (raw material used in making liquor) with the help of JCB machine and other equipment near Gang Canal today. Police said that about 25 thousand liters of lahan filled in 30 drums and other containers was recovered from around the canal in Tutwala-Punjawa Mandal area near the interstate border. Excise Department Inspector Nirmal Singh, Khuiyan Sarwar Police Station in-charge Sunil Kumar and Hindumalkot Police Station officials took action with commandos and seized liquor making equipment and other items.
