Punjab: 15 stolen bikes recovered, two drug addicts arrested

Punjab: The city police on January 5 recovered 15 stolen motorcycles from two drug addicts Gupreet Singh alias Poppy and Ramandeep Singh alias Deep, both residents of Chak Singhe Wala Senia village. Acting on information, the police set up a naka at Badha T-point on the outskirts of Fazilka and apprehended the accused who were travelling from Jalalabad to Fazilka. During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing motorcycles from several places, including Fazilka, Jalalabad, Abohar and Muktsar, Inspector Lekh Raj said. Apart from the 15 bikes recovered, the duo also confessed to stealing 10 more bikes, which they had sold at low prices. The police are now trying to recover the 10 sold motorcycles. The accused have been booked under sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the BNS Act.
