Protest against Prime Minister’s visit: Congress leader arrested.

Tamil Nadu: Congress party members were arrested for protesting against Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Tamil Nadu by displaying black flags.

Ranjan Kumar, a leader of the Tamil Nadu Congress Party’s SC unit, had announced that he would protest against the Prime Minister’s visit. Following this, police placed him under house arrest. Meanwhile, on Friday, he staged a protest by releasing black balloons from the roof of his house.

Congress party members also held protests with black flags in several areas, including near the Ambedkar statue in Periamet, MKB Nagar, and Thyagarayanagar Park Road. Police arrested them, detained them in a marriage hall, and released them in the evening.
