Raigarh. The first meeting of the DMF Governing Council for the financial year 2023-24 was held in Raigad under the chairmanship of Collector Taran Prakash Sinha. MP Gomti Sai, MLA Raigarh Prakash Nayak, MLA Lailunga Chakradhar Singh Sidar, District Panchayat President Nirakar Patel attended the meeting.
Collector Taran Prakash Sinha said that Raigarh is a district with diversities and diversities. It has urban infrastructure as well as remote rural areas. In view of which work has to be done in all areas. Work will be done on priority in the direction of water and environment protection in the district. As the water level here is continuously falling, work will be done for ground water recharge and drinking water supply. Along with this, there is also an action plan to plant trees on a large scale. Along with this, strengthening and expansion of health services in remote areas, work to get rid of malnutrition will also be done. So that the villagers get better health facilities at the local level and also prevent diseases like malnutrition and anemia. He said that the youth of Raigad are full of talent. They need to be given extra encouragement and guidance, so that they can succeed in competitive examinations. For this, there is also a plan to provide better environment and education system to them. Collector Mr. Sinha said that action plans will be prepared according to local needs and demands.
In the meeting, the people’s representatives also gave their suggestions regarding the work to be done at the local level. Member of Parliament Mrs. Gomti Sai said that work should be done expeditiously regarding the supply of drinking water. He talked about making necessary arrangements by identifying such villages where tube wells are drying up. MLA Mr. Prakash Nayak talked about repairing school buildings soon. He said that the places where the work has started should be completed soon, there should be no unnecessary delay and where the work has not started, they should be started soon. He talked about making provisions for the repair of the schools which have been left out in these surveys. Along with this, he talked about making proper arrangements for drinking water supply in view of the summer season. MLA Lailunga Mr. Chakradhar Singh Sidar talked about speedy completion of road works in the district. Along with this, he also gave suggestions regarding health facilities. District Panchayat President Mr. Nirakar Patel told in the meeting that such villages located in remote areas of the district, where there is lack of basic facilities, should be identified on priority and necessary work should be done there. Instructions were given to include the above suggestions in the action plan.
In the meeting, the meeting of the Governing Council of the Mineral Institute Trust (DMF) was given information about the income and expenditure received in the District Mineral Institute Trust Fund. The audit for the financial year 2022-23 was approved. The annual report for the financial year 2022-23 was also approved. In the financial year 2023-24, discussions were held for inviting proposals from public representatives, affected villages and construction agencies/government departments on priority basis in the prescribed sector for approval of work from the District Mineral Trust Fund.
