Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan Panchayat and Rural Development Department, through Rural Self-Employment Training Institute, RSETI-Raipur, provided 13-day training to 34 prisoners on the subject of Installation of CCTV Camera, Fire Alarm and Smoke Detector, with the aim of providing skill development and self-employment opportunities to undertrial and convicted prisoners in Central Jail Raipur.
Inmates of Central Jail Raipur received CCTV installation training in which important information was provided regarding the technology of CCTV installation and entrepreneurship development. The training program was concluded in the presence of Namrata Jain, Mission Director of Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission.
chhattisgarh news At the end of the training program, the Mission Director took information from the trainee prisoners about their experience related to the training program and the benefits of the training, as well as suggestions were sought on topics like what other types of trades can be provided training to the prisoners in jail, etc. On which some trainee prisoners demanded that training on subjects related to agriculture, livestock be provided in the prison premises based on rural life and that better opportunities be provided to the prisoners in the outside world. Mission Director Madam assured that self-employment oriented training will be provided as per demand in various trades like agriculture work, nursery, sewing and bakery etc. in the prison premises for creative use of the abilities of the prisoners.
