Prisoner dies in jail, was serving life imprisonment

Farrukhabad. A prisoner serving life imprisonment died in Fatehgarh Central Jail. The prisoner’s son accused the jail administration of not informing him about his father’s illness. Ramchandra (84), son of Manohar, resident of Kusajjapur village of Tirwa police station in Kannauj district, had murdered Kunwar Bahadur of the family 40 years ago.

After the hearing of this case, Kannauj court sentenced Ramchandra to life imprisonment. Five years ago, Ramchandra was first sent to Central Jail Fatehgarh. Where he died on Friday night. Ramchandra’s sons Rajesh and Sudeep, who reached here on information, alleged that whenever their father Ramchandra fell ill, the jail administration used to inform them.

This time he was not informed about his father’s illness. The police have filled the Panchnama of the prisoner’s body and sent it for post-mortem. Ram Chandra’s son Rajesh told that he will take his father’s body to the village first. After this his last rites will be performed.
