Business Business: While the central government is releasing Rs 6,000 annually to farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, now there is good news for the farmers of Jharkhand. In fact, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in Jharkhand, farmers will be given financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per acre annually for up to five acres. This amount is in addition to the Rs 6,000 received from the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. This means that if the BJP comes to power, farmers will get a total of Rs 11,000 per year. The Union Minister said that the previous BJP government in Jharkhand gave Rs 5,000 per hectare annually to farmers with up to five hectares of land, but the JMM-led coalition government discontinued it after coming to power in 2019. Chouhan said, “If the BJP returns to power in the state, this scheme will be restarted and farmers will get Rs 5,000 per hectare in addition to the Rs 6,000 provided by the Center under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Said that if BJP comes to power in the state, we will buy rice from farmers at Rs 3100 per quintal. Let us tell you that assembly elections will be held in Jharkhand before the end of this year.

Meanwhile, money will be transferred to the bank accounts of lakhs of farmers across the country waiting for the 18th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the money to the beneficiary farmers on October 5. So far, the central government has distributed funds worth more than Rs 3.24 billion to more than 11 million farmers in 17 establishments.
