Police took big action on viral video, 9 miscreants arrested

Raigarh. Raigarh police made a big attack on the miscreants by arresting 09 habitual criminals involved in cases of robbery and assault and took out a procession of them. This action was taken to tighten the noose on the miscreant Bunty Sahu alias Ravan and his gang. On December 9, a video of Bunty Sahu of Jute Mill area went viral on social media, in which he was seen beating a person. After this incident, Romesh Sahu (33), a resident of Kabir Chowk, lodged a complaint that Bunty Sahu and his associates entered his house, held him hostage and beat him. On this, a case was registered in Jute Mill police station under crime number 497/2024 section 127 (2), 296,309 (4), 351 (2) BNS under relevant sections of IPC.

Crimes registered against Bunty Sahu in Chakradharnagar too

Bunty Sahu and his associates Raja Sarathi, Sandeep Sarathi looted ₹2300 from Mohan Bohidar, a resident of ITI Colony in Chakradharnagar on November 12 on the day of Ganna Puja. The victim’s mother Kanchanbai lodged a report of this incident yesterday. A case was registered in Chakradharnagar police station under crime number 561/2024 sections 296, 351(2), 115(2),127(2),140(3),309(6),309(4),3(5).

Police action

Taking the incidents seriously, Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel formed a special team under the leadership of DSP Cyber ​​Cell Abhinav Upadhyay. A joint team of cyber cell and both the police stations along with inspector Prashant Rao and Mohan Bhardwaj raided and detained 09 criminals. The accused were produced in the court today, from where they were sent to jail on remand. Bunty Sahu and his two accomplices are still absconding. The police have intensified their search.
