Ujjain: A middle-aged man, resident of Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, used to come to Jabalpur by train and steal a two-wheeler. The middle-aged man has admitted stealing and selling 25 vehicles. The police have seized the vehicles at the behest of the accused, whose value is approximately Rs 25 lakh. Police have also registered a case against 14 accused who bought stolen vehicles along with the accused.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Sameer Verma, information was received from the informer that a middle-aged man resident of Narsinghpur was committing the crime of vehicle theft under Civil Lines police station. Acting on the information, police took Kripa Shankar Pathak alias Nandu Narsinghpur, resident of Palhowada district Narsinghpur, into custody and interrogated him. During interrogation, he told that he used to come to Jabalpur by train and steal two-wheelers parked near the High Court and DRM office. He used the master key to steal the vehicle.
The accused told that he used to take the stolen motorcycle to Narsinghpur and sell it. When buyers asked for papers, MP would extract the details from the transport side and give them based on the vehicle number. Police have seized 25 vehicles at the behest of the accused. The police have also registered a case against the accused and 14 persons who bought stolen vehicles.
