Raipur. Candidates of SI recruitment exam are sitting on a dharna outside the residence of Home Minister Vijay Sharma since Friday morning for the release of the result, which the police has reached to remove. Late night Home Minister Sharma reached among the candidates and said that the result will be released in 2 weeks. Despite this, the candidates continued to sit on the dharna. Today morning a large number of policemen have reached to remove the candidates.
Earlier, Home Minister Vijay Sharma had met the candidates on 4 September. During this time he had assured to release the result within 15 days. The candidates had expressed hope that the result will be declared now, but like every time, they were disappointed. As the result has not been released, they are again sitting on a dharna outside the Home Minister’s bungalow.
A candidate sitting on the dharna said that 22 candidates have been on hunger strike for 11 days. Some people have been on a dharna at Tuta Dharna Sthal, whose weakness is so much that they are not in a position to come. There were also 2 such candidates, whose health deteriorated due to hunger strike and the administration forcibly took them to the hospital for treatment. The candidate said, the government does not even bother to take care of us. The minister did not come to listen to us, so I had to come here with my parents.
