Police recovered 60 kg IED bomb during the encounter

Bijapur. Naxalites attacked the police camp in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. A large number of BGLs (barrel grenade launchers) have been fired at the camp. The Naxalites escaped in retaliation of the soldiers. Six IEDs of 5 kg each have been recovered from the spot. There is no news of any loss to any soldier in the attack. According to the information, the force has established a new camp in Naxal affected area Gundam today itself. As soon as this was discovered, the Naxalites attacked the camp between 1-1.30 pm. It is being told that the Naxalites escaped in retaliation. At present searching is going on in the area.

An encounter is taking place between soldiers and Naxalites in the border area of Bijapur-Sukma. There is news of heavy firing between the two. This encounter is taking place at a time when the soldiers are opening their new camp in Gundam village. All the top officials of Bijapur are present on this occasion. Let us tell you, Gundam is a heavily Naxal affected area. Till now the force was afraid to go here because a battalion of Naxalites works here. It is noteworthy that ever since the police has been setting up new camps in the remote areas of Chhattisgarh, the Naxalites have intensified their attacks.

On February 11 also, Naxalites had kidnapped 4 people from Jagargunda police station. They also took his JCB with them. All the kidnapped people were working on the Tap Water Mission Scheme. All of them were kidnapped from Singram, a remote area of Jagargunda. This area is a heavily Naxal affected area. This is the border area of Bijapur and Sukma. Here Naxalites do whatever they want. However, the Naxalites later released him. The hostages came back and told that the Naxalites had kept their JCB there. Along with the movement of the army, Naxalites have now intensified the incidents in Sukma.
