Police raided two villages, seized Mahua liquor

Raigarh. The District Police’s action against drugs is continuing. Police station in-charge Kapitalpathra Inspector Krishnakant Singh received information from an informer about illegal liquor sale and raids were conducted by Kapitalpathra police in village Bilaskhar and Taraimal. The police team has caught Amrit Dhoba, father of Dhan Sai Dhoba (42 years), living in village Bilaskhar, selling liquor illegally in the courtyard of his house, from whom a plastic box of 15 liter capacity and about 40 liters of liquor filled in a bottle were recovered. Mahua liquor has been seized.

In another action, Kapitalpathara police has arrested accused Shishupal Mahato, father Gaurishankar Mahato, 36 years, present residence Dhanwar Para Taraimal police station, Kapitalpathara, near village Taraimal bus stand, while transporting 20 liters of Mahua liquor on foot for illegal liquor sale. A total of 60 liters of illegal Mahua liquor worth ₹ 6000 was seized from both the accused and separate action was taken under Section 34(2), 59(A) of the Excise Act at Kapitpathra police station. Assistant sub-inspector Chandan Singh Netam, Vijay Ekka, head constable Amrit Tirkey, constable Umashankar Bhagat, Jai Singh Sidar, Pradeep Chauhan, Narendra Pankra and Sukrit Dahria were involved in the liquor raid operation conducted under the leadership of police station in-charge Inspector Krishnakant Singh.
