Police station Kota seized illegal teak and sal wood and furniture worth Rs 12 lakh from two houses in village Lamkena. Police received information that Sanjay Khande and Suresh Khande were illegally storing timber in their house. On this, the Kota police team reached the spot and raided the houses of both. 107 pieces of teak, sal wood, and furniture made of teak (chair, sofa, tea table) worth Rs 7 lakh were recovered from Suresh Khande’s house. At the same time, 166 pieces of teak and sal wood worth Rs 5 lakh were seized from Sanjay Khande’s house. The seized items have been handed over to the forest department.
Police station in-charge Umesh Sahu, head constable Ravindra Mishra, constable Bhop Singh Sahu, Santosh Shrivas, Ajay Soni and female constable Deepika Loniya were involved in the action.
