Police raid, huge amount of illegal Mahua liquor seized

Balodabazar. Under “Operation Vishwas”, the police of City Kotwali police station is continuously arresting liquor smugglers. In this sequence, the police team of Inspector Ajay Jha, Sub Inspector Rajkumar Dahriya, Assistant Sub Inspector Mohd. Qayyum, Head Constable Narendra Nishad, Tilak Sahu, Constable Mohd. Akram, Ramakant Bhardwaj, Amanchain Tirkey, Ashwani Paikra, Mohan Meshram, Tuleshwar Dadsena, Mohan Jangde, Lady Constable Sarita Yadav, Ukeshwari Sahu raided village Sudheli on the information of making Mahua liquor in large quantities and dumping it for the purpose of selling it.

During this, 02 accused who were making and selling Mahua liquor illegally have been arrested from the spot. The police team was successful in seizing 525 liters of illegal Mahua liquor worth ₹ 1,05,000 from the accused. The entire area was thoroughly inspected by the police team, in which a large quantity of aluminum utensils, plastic cans, earthen pots, firewood etc. used in making Mahua liquor illegally was also found, which have been duly seized. In this case, a case has been registered under Section 34(02) of the Excise Act and the process of presenting both the accused before the Hon’ble Court is being done.
