Police found 130 lost mobile phones

Mungeli. A special police team has recovered 130 mobile phones worth more than Rs 20 lakh and returned them to the mobile holders. The special team formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel has collected information from the CEIR Online Portal and has succeeded in recovering mobile phones from other border districts and states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha etc. along with mobile phones operated in the district.

The CEIR Online Portal (https://www.ceir.gov.in) service is being operated by the government to trace lost mobiles, in which citizens can register an online complaint about their lost mobile and get it blocked. The complaint of lost mobile registered on the portal is forwarded to the cyber cell and police station portal according to the incident area, on which the police takes further action by obtaining traceability data.

Mungeli police had received many applications through the online portal. For mobile recovery, a team has been formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel (Bapuse), guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Navneet Kaur Chhabra and supervision of SDOP Mungeli Salik Ram Ghritalhar. The team, led by Inspector Sanjay Singh, in-charge of Cyber ​​Cell, after continuous search, succeeded in finding 130 mobiles from among the active mobiles, whose estimated value is Rs 20 lakh. These mobiles were recovered from border districts Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Raipur, Balodabazar, Bemetara, Kawardha and other states Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and returned to their real owners by organizing a special program in Cyber ​​Cell Mungeli, Police Station City Kotwali premises and gave them a “New Year” gift. Other active traceable mobiles are being recovered.
