Vadodara: Police caught Gathia, who took advantage of the crowd of passengers and stole a mobile phone from the pocket of a young man while boarding the train on platform number four at Vadodara railway station. Kunjgiri Gyangiri Goswami, resident of Santosh Nagar in Gorwa area of Vadodara, came to Vadodara railway station on Thursday to go to his native place in Rajasthan.
On platform number 4, the Golden Temple Mail train was waiting for the train going from Vadodara to Bharatpur. , When he was boarding the general coach, Gathiya took advantage of the crowd of passengers and took the mobile phone kept in Kunjgiri’s pants pocket and ran away.
Meanwhile, plainclothes policemen and RPF policemen caught him, shouting ‘thief-thief’. During the search a mobile phone was found in his pocket. Police named him as Atif Ayub (Surat). Therefore, the police has arrested him and is taking further action.
