Nalgonda: Nalgonda Town-I police on Monday arrested five people belonging to an Andhra Pradesh gang accused of stealing 67 two-wheelers and seized the vehicles from their possession. The arrested people were identified as Thupakula Venkatesh, 25, 24-year-old Gunji Ankamma as Kavuru Mettupalli and Avula Venu and 24-year-old Guvvala as Shabarish.
District Superintendent of Police Chandana Deepti said that the gang members were stopped for questioning.
When he was roaming suspiciously on Pangal Bypass Road. When interrogated, he confessed to stealing the bike. The gang had stolen vehicles in Nalgonda, Thipparthy, Miryalaguda and Bhongir in Telangana state as well as Piduguralla, Dachepalli, Chilakaruripeta, Edlapadu and Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh. Police said the gang members used to sell vehicles stolen from Telangana in Andhra Pradesh and vice versa.
