Raigarh: Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel and SDOP Kharsia Prabhat Kumar Patel, in order to curb illegal liquor, the Kharsia police team under the leadership of SHO Kharsia Inspector Kumar Gaurav Sahu, on the basis of informer’s information, raided liquor near the canal in village Chhote Doomarpali and caught the accused Sanjay Kumar Dansena, father Chumman Lal, age 24 years, resident of Chhote Doomarpali, red handed while manufacturing liquor by setting up an illegal liquor distillery.
04 liters of Mahua liquor in a 5 liter capacity plastic jerrycan and 03 liters in a 15 liter plastic box, total 07 liters of Mahua liquor and two modified silver utensils used in the manufacture of liquor have been seized from his possession. Action has been taken against the accused Sanjay Kumar Dansena under Section 34 (2), 59 (a) of the Excise Act in Kharsia police station and the accused has been arrested and sent on judicial remand. On the instructions of police station in-charge Kharsia inspector Kumar Gaurav Sahu, assistant sub-inspector Laxminarayan Rathore, constable Satyanarayan Sidar, Ramesh Bareth, Hiramani Patle were involved in the liquor raid operation.
