PM Narendra Modi on a visit to Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in the state capital today for a one-day visit. He will arrive at the airport at 10:15 AM and will be received by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Mayor V.V. Rajesh, and other leaders.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will flag off four new trains and lay the foundation stone for the Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Hub being established by the Centre at the Thonnakkal Life Sciences Park. He will also release the development blueprint for the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, which is currently under BJP rule. The Prime Minister’s journey to the Puthenkandam grounds in East Fort, where all three events will take much place, will be in the form of a roadshow. Approximately 25,000 party workers are expected to attend the event. The BJP plans to use this visit to kickstart its campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. In the first official event, the Prime Minister will flag off the Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram, Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad, and Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat trains, and the Guruvayoor-Thrissur passenger train. The foundation stone for the Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Hub will also be laid at the same event. Following this, the Prime Minister will proceed to a nearby party venue to release the Corporation’s development blueprint. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the railway event at Puthenkandam. The Prime Minister is scheduled to depart at approximately 12:40 PM.
