Delhi. PM Modi will visit three states Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra today on 27-28 February. The Prime Minister will be in Kerala on 27th and Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra on 28th. The Prime Minister will visit the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on February 27 around morning. Will participate in the program ‘Creating the Future – Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ in Madurai, Tamil Nadu on the same day in the evening. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 17,300 crore in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu on February 28. On the same evening, the Prime Minister will attend a public event in Yavatmal, Maharashtra and inaugurate and dedicate to the nation several development projects worth over Rs 4900 crore in Yavatmal, Maharashtra.
During his visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, the Prime Minister will inaugurate three important space infrastructure projects. The projects include the PSLV Integration Facility (PIF) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sri Harikota, the new ‘Semi-Cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility’ at ISRO Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri and the ‘Trisonic Wind Tunnel’ at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram. In Madurai, the Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Building the Future – Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ event and address thousands of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs working in the automotive sector. Will also launch two key initiatives designed to support and uplift MSMEs in the Indian automotive industry.
At a public event in Thoothukudi, Prime Minister VO Chidambaranar will lay the foundation stone of the Outer Harbor Container Terminal at the port. He will also inaugurate various other projects aimed at making VO Chidambaranar Port the first green hydrogen hub port in the country. These projects include desalination plants, hydrogen production and bunkering facilities etc. The Prime Minister will also launch India’s first indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterways ship under the Green Boat Initiative. Besides, he will also dedicate tourist facilities in 75 lighthouses in ten states and union territories. He will dedicate to the nation the rail projects for doubling of Vanchi Maniyachchi – Nagercoil rail line built at a cost of Rs 1,477 crore.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate four road projects developed in Tamil Nadu at a total cost of Rs 4,586 crore. Prime Minister will launch Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries in Maharashtra. This scheme envisages construction of a total of 10 lakh houses from financial year 2023-24 to financial year 2025-26. The Prime Minister will transfer the first installment of Rs 375 crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries of the scheme.
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation several irrigation projects benefiting the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Rs 1,300 crore Wardha-Kalamb Broad Gauge Line and New Ashti-Amalner Broad Gauge Line rail projects in Maharashtra. During this time, he will also virtually flag off the Pradhan Mantri Do Train Service. The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation several projects to strengthen the road sector in Maharashtra. The projects include four-laning of Warora-Wani section. He will unveil the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay in Yavatmal city.
