Tamil Nadu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Puducherry on March 1st. He will attend a grand public meeting that day and launch various welfare schemes, Puducherry State BJP President V.P. Ramalingam said.
Speaking to reporters in Puducherry on Wednesday, he said: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Puducherry on March 1st. He will launch several welfare schemes at a public meeting in Laspettai at 11 a.m. that day. Arrangements are being made for this. The BJP will discuss and decide on an electoral alliance in Puducherry with senior officials.
Here, the Congress party, which was in power from 2016 to 2021, did not come up with any schemes and acted like a black-shirted opposition party. People are questioning what face they are now using to seek votes. The ₹2,500 allowance for women will definitely be discontinued. They will only engage in politics behind closed doors.
The Congress roadshow failed due to low turnout. It’s strange that the party’s All India General Secretary, K.C. Venugopal, participated in the Congress roadshow and criticized the law and order situation of the National Democratic Alliance government.
In Tamil Nadu, parties like the Congress and the VVIP are demanding a share in the government within the DMK alliance. The DMK is refusing to accept this. However, as far as the BJP is concerned, the coalition government is running at the Centre and in Puducherry. This is a dual-engine government. Therefore, Puducherry will only progress if the National Democratic Alliance government returns, Ramalingam said.
