Andhra Pradesh. A 23-year-old professional photographer was killed by two men in Visakhapatnam to get hold of his camera. Police gave this information on Sunday. The accused murdered photographer P.Sai Pawan Kalyan after calling him on the pretext of a photo shoot and looted his camera and other equipment. This shocking incident took place on 26th February near Ravulapalem near Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was born in Konaseema district. The accused buried the body of the photographer in Moolasthanam in the same district.
Visakhapatnam Police had started investigation on February 29 after Kalyan’s parents filed a missing complaint. The police solved the case on Sunday and on the behest of the accused, they went to Moolasthanam and took out the body from the soil. According to the police, Kalyan, a resident of Madhurwada in Visakhapatnam, used to earn his living by photography, making photos and videos at weddings and other events. He used to book online and also travel to remote places for assignments.

When Kalyan did not return home even after three days and his mobile was continuously switched off, his parents lodged a complaint at the PM Palam police station in Visakhapatnam. Police interrogated Shanmukh on the basis of call data. He confessed to committing the crime with the help of a friend for the sake of Kalyan’s camera. The price of the camera is said to be Rs 10 lakh.
