New Delhi: Bone-chilling cold is prevailing in many states across the country. From Delhi to UP-Bihar, people are in bad condition due to severe cold. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has released the latest update. Let us tell you that many states including the capital Delhi are witnessing a double attack of cold wave along with fog, due to which the Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert in many states.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim. Cold wave is expected for 20-22 days in Madhya Pradesh. Due to bad weather, 300 flights are running late in Delhi, while roads have been closed in Jammu and Kashmir. Here, the temperature in Ooty, Tamil Nadu has reached below zero. Avalanche has also occurred.
Due to icy winds in Madhya Pradesh, day and night temperatures have dropped. Night temperatures in 14 districts of the state including Bhopal reached below 10 degrees Celsius. In the eastern parts of the state, the day temperature dropped by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius. Let us tell you that the day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 21.4 degrees, while the night temperature was 9 degrees Celsius. IMD is predicting a drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the temperature of the capital Bhopal. At the same time, there is a possibility of dense fog in 24 districts including Bhopal, Gwalior-Chambal, Mahakaushal and Vindhya divisions.
Chhattisgarh is experiencing severe cold these days. The coldest is in Surguja division. Cold wave is blowing in the entire division. The minimum temperature in the state will fall after the next two days, which will increase the cold further. However, there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature of the state for the next two days.
