Tamil Nadu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that people should help form the National Democratic Alliance in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking at the National Democratic Alliance’s public meeting in Mandelanagar, Madurai, on Sunday, he further said: Before 2014, when the Congress-DMK alliance was in power at the center, development projects in Tamil Nadu were not given any importance.
In the last 12 years, the BJP government in Tamil Nadu has launched 74 projects worth approximately ₹12,000 crore. This has created many new jobs in Tamil Nadu.
Crimes against women are on the rise in Tamil Nadu. Women have seen their families destroyed by liquor shops and drug trafficking. Women have seen how much better their lives were under Jayalalithaa’s rule and how much worse they have become under the DMK. The suffering of women in Tamil Nadu will soon be alleviated.
Once the National Democratic Alliance government is formed in Tamil Nadu, full attention will be paid to resolving law and order issues. Drug offenders will be jailed. Women’s safety, respect, and empowerment will be ensured.
Tamil Nadu was the first state in independent India to gain independence from the Congress Party. Tamil Nadu kept the Congress at bay for nearly 60 years. This is why, when the Congress was in power at the center, it worked against the welfare of Tamil Nadu. Examples of this include the Kachchatheevu issue and the ban on Jallikattu competitions. The DMK also supported the then Congress government in these matters.
The ban on Jallikattu was lifted only after the BJP came to power at the center. A sceptre was erected in Parliament to honor Tamil Nadu’s culture.
Benefits of a Trade Agreement: A trade agreement has been signed between India and the European Union. India is now connected to 28 advanced countries. This will provide a golden opportunity for Tamil Nadu’s farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs. The textile sector, electronics sector, manufacturing sector, seafood exports, and small and micro enterprises will gain global market opportunities.
Fishermen and farmers will receive good prices for their products. Youth will find numerous jobs. For all this to happen smoothly, a state government that cares about the welfare of the people is essential. To achieve this, the people of Tamil Nadu should help form a National Democratic Alliance government, Prime Minister Modi said.
