Raipur news. ACB has caught a Patwari red handed taking bribe today. Bureau officials said that action has been taken against the Patwari and Kotwar on the complaint of Virendra Deshmukh, resident of Village Bhedsar Durg. Officials said that the applicant Deshmukh and other members of his family contacted the accused Patwari Ramesh Kumar Deshlahare and village Kotwar Rajeshwar Das alias Sukhdas for the work of dividing the land and making loan books after the death of his grandfather. The Patwari and Kotwar demanded a total bribe of Rs 28,000 from seven people at the rate of Rs 4,000 per person for the applicant’s work, out of which Rs 5,000 was also taken as advance.
The applicant did not want to give bribe, but wanted to be caught red handed taking bribe. The complaint was found to be true on verification and a trap was organized today and the accused Ramesh Kumar Deslahare Patwari Bhedsar and Rajeshwar Das alias Sukhdas (village Kotwar) were caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from the applicant in the Patwari office as his share. The accused has been arrested and action is being taken against him under the provisions of Section 7 of the PC Act 1988.
